Instructions
In a heavy pot, add 1 cup of water and then add milk. Adding water will help it prevent the milk from burning.
Wash the rice and mix it with the milk. Let it come to a boil and then simmer for a few minutes.
Add sugar and cardamom and mix well. At this time, you can add saffron if using.
Stirring continuously, add nuts if you are using. Cook it 25 minutes stirring until rice is fully cooked.
Let is cool completely and then refrigerate it if serving cold.
Garnish it with additional nuts and rose petals before serving.
