Samosa Pinwheels | A Fusion Appetizer Everyone Will Love!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 medium-sized potatoes boiled and mashed
  • ½ cup green peas cooked
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ¾ tsp red chili powder adjust to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • Store-bought puff pastry

Instructions
 

  • -Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden. Stir in chopped ginger for a min. Add peas, mix and cook it for a couple of mins and now add mashed potatoes along with the spices. Mix well and cook it covered for a few mins.
  • - Garnish it with chopped cilantro. Let the potato mixture cool down fully.
  • - In the meanwhile, pull out the dough and keep it at room temp so you can roll it. Roll the puff pastry sheet so it is not too thick.
  • - Spread the prepared filling evenly over the surface. Roll the dough tightly from one end to form a log. Wrap it in a cling wrap and put it in the freezer for a little bit.
  • - Using a sharp knife, cut the log into ½-inch thick slices.
  • - Heat the oven at 375F place the pinwheels on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • - Serve your samosa pinwheels warm with mint chutney, tamarind sauce, or ketchup.
