Ingredients
  

  • 1 Can San Marzano tomatoes
  • 1 Small Carrot sliced
  • 1 medium white onion, cubed
  • 2-3 tsp olive oil
  • 2-3 cloves garlic
  • ½ tsp black pepper powder
  • ¾ tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste
  • 4 cups vegetable Broth
  • ¾ cup heavy cream or as needed
  • 1 tsp fresh basil leaves
  • ½ tsp oregano

Instructions
 

  • In a pot, heat the olive oil and add sliced garlic
  • Saute for a couple of mins, make it doesn't burn.
  • Add cubed onions and saute until soft.
  • Add sliced carrot to it and let it saute until slightly soft.
  • Add the can of marzano tomatoes, along with the broth and sugar. Let it simmer for about 10-12 mins until it is slightly thickened.
  • Add oregano, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for a couple of mins.
  • Blend it with immersion blender completely.
  • Add fresh basil and serve it hot with grilled cheese or your choice of bread.
