Tamatar Pyaaz Ki Chutney (Tomato & Onion Chutney)

I have been brought up in a household where my parents and grandparents were born and brought up in Burma.  So we have been eating a lot of Burmese dishes since childhood.  We are rice eaters so anything with rice tastes yummy.  My husband says we are fake punjabis as we don’t make as many typical punjabi dishes at my Mom’s house.

Daal, chawal with tamatar pyaaz ki chutney is a staple dish in our household.  When we can’t think what to make for dinner, we make dal chawal aloo or dal chawal tamatar ki chutney. That is why I say, “This is my soul food.”  Haven’t had in a long time, so enjoyed it a lot. So lets make Tamaatar Pyaaz ki Chutney.
