The first time I ate this dessert was at my mom’s house for the pooja. Since then this is one of my favorite dessert which is light and not too sweet. Last Friday I had guests over and I was like I want to make something which is quick, easy and can be made ahead of time, so I decided to give this a shot. This Mango Fruit Custard is not made with custard powder which is what I like about it the most as I am not a big custard fan.
Ingredients
- 16 ml Mango Puree
- 16 ml heavy whipping cream
- 4 oz powdered sugar
- 1 can of fruit cocktail (or you can use fresh fruits of your choice)
- Cherries for garnish
Directions:
Whip the heavy cream & powdered sugar using a hand whip or an electric one until a little stiff. Do not over whip otherwise it will be too stiff.
Add mango puree to the whipped cream and sugar mixture.
Fold the mango puree into the cream so they are well incorporated.
Now add the can of fruit cocktail along with the syrup and mix a little. Refrigerate for a few hours before serving.
Serve chilled. Garnish it with maraschino cherry or a fresh cherry or whatever you like may be raspberries.
