I saw these kebabs sitting in my freezer which were leftovers from a get together. I was like what can I do with these kebabs which are only enough for a couple of people. So I decided to make kebab curry which came out surprisingly delicious. Hope you all like it too.
Ingredients:
- 3-4 readymade kebabs or homemade (I used readymade)
- 1 medium onion sliced (lengthwise)
- 5-6 garlic cloves
- ginger approx 1-2 inches
- 1-2 green chilies
- 1/2 cup tomato puree
- salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- olive oil
- chopped cilantro for garnish
Directions:
In a kadhai, add oil and heat it up. Add sliced onions and let them sautee until brown.
Now add chopped garlic, ginger and green chilies. Sautee for a few minutes. Let it cool down, then blend these onions with the tomato puree. Pour the mixture into the pot and add salt, turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala & paprika. Sautee until the oil separates.
Add the kebab cubes into the masala, and sautee for a couple of minutes.
Add enough water and cover with a lid to cook for another few minutes.
Uncover and cook until the gravy is to your desired consistency. Garnish with cilantro (I didn’t have cilantro so I garnished with green onions) and serve hot with roti, paratha, naan or rice.
