Jamaican Jerk Seasoning | Flavorful spice blend

Today’s post is not as elaborate as the last one. I know you must be thinking about why another post so quickly.  Its because the super bowl is around the corner and I tried making the chicken wings using  Jamaican Jerk Seasoning and wanted to share with you all so you can try it for yourself.

Jamaican Jerk Seasoning

Jerk is a style of cooking native to Jamaica where meat is the dry-rubbed or wet marinade.  It is derived from the word “jerking” where holes are poked in the meat so that it marinated all the way. This spice blend is super easy to make at home and can be stored in an airtight jar for a good 6-9 months.  The best thing about making the spice blends at home is that you can adjust the salt and heat based on your needs. Once you try you will be amazed by the aroma and depth this spice blend has to offer. The key ingredients are allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and cayenne pepper.

This is a dry version that can simply be rubbed over along with a little drizzle of oil on whatever you are planning to make.    Let it sit for a couple of hours or more and you are ready to bake or grill.

Your Jerk spice mix was a hit at our recent Jamaican theme party. All spices were of perfect proportion and proportion. You should sell it as your brand.
