This is my second pickle I have ever made in my life. Saw my mom making this the other day and it is so easy and delicious. It tastes so yummy with dal, chaawal (Rice & Lentils) along with a dry subzi. Give it a try, it will be ready in 3-4 days…
Ingredients:
- 15 long green chilies (got it from Indian store)
- 5 tbsp mustard oil ( I used Olive oil)
- 2 tbsp broken mustard
- salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
Directions:
Wash the green chilies and let them dry. Slit each chilies in half.
In a mixing bowl, put all the ingredients and mix well.
Leave it the sunlight all day, and bring it inside at night for about 3-4 days.
Enjoy the pickle with about everything, paratha, rice, puri..

Hi… this looks tempting. Just for info.. how long will this last if kept in fridge. thx!
Thanks Parul. You can keep it in the fridge for a couple of months as long as the amount of salt is right.
broken mustard is pisi hui raai ?
Yes it is Madhu. You can get whole yellow mustard or regular mustard and just grind it once in the coffee grinder and use it if the broken mustard is not available. Hope this helps.
