Basil Pesto | A Culinary Symphony of Freshness and Flavor
Elevate your culinary creations with the vibrant and aromatic essence of basil pesto- fresh basil, garlic, pine nuts, Parmesan, & olive oil.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- 3-4 cloves garlic
- ½ cup pine nuts toasted
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon zest
Instructions
- Slightly toast the pine nuts, stirring it continuously so they don't burn and set aside.
- In a food processor, combine basil, garlic, and pine nuts. Pulse until finely chopped.
- Add Parmesan cheese, lemon zest and pulse again to combine.
- With the food processor running, slowly pour in the olive oil until the mixture reaches a smooth consistency.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and pulse once more to combine.
